Lunchbox Snacking Pepper Plant Start

“Do you have those snacking peppers from Costco?” These are in fact those (but with better tastes because they’re coming from the garden!) Peppers come in yellow, orange, and red (but are green prior to ripening). Unfortunately, plants can only produce one of the three colors, so with each single plant you have the chance of producing all red, yellow, or orange sweet lunchbox peppers. A 0 on the Scoville heat scale.

All plant starts are grown in OASIS® 1.5″ x 1.5″ grow cubes until they reach approximately 4″ to 6″ in height. Plants are only stocked and made available for shipping once both the plant and root system are strong enough to withstand transit.

Pairs Well With:

Eggplants – Peppers and eggplants demand similar growing conditions making them quite a strong pairing

Beans, peas – Peppers are heavy feeders and pairing with legume varieties that enrich the soil will do them well

Lettuce, salad mix – These low-to-the-ground varieties both maximize garden space and are light feeders, complimenting both pepper’s size and tendency to pull a lot of nutrients from the soil 

Marigolds – a repellent for some of the pests that bother peppers
